Goral culture hails from the Tatra Mountains found in Zakopane, Poland. The people there developed a distinct dialect, farming practice, dress, as well as music. Always independent, and loving their "Szlebodu" or freedom, as said in the Goral dialect; in 1620 they rose up and ousted Mikolaj Komorowski a tyrant ruling Zywiec. Again during the Nazi occupation it was the Gorals that acted as partisan freedom fighters, the gorals are revered throughout the Slavic world, especially in Poland, for their wisdom, self-sufficient nature, work ethic and bravery. The Goral hats are a part of the traditional dress of the region, clothes made of wool and flax, because of the Goral's pastoral heritage. The costumes are worn for the "Tance Goralski" and all the dances of that region. Available in both boy's and men's sizes.
