This two part series Polish language course is published in Poland by the Catholic University of Lublin and was designed for speakers of English. Unlike other Polish textbooks, which cater mainly for beginners or, at best, low intermediate learners, Wsrod Polakow takes the student from the very beginning to a highly advanced level. It is the first course that covers all important aspects of the structure of the language, giving a systematic and graded expose of Polish inflection, syntax and word formation as well as the changes occasioned in these by context. Clarity of presentation is achieved through a large variety of visual aids, such as tables, charts, colors, and distinct type faces. Moreover, all grammatical structures are amply illustrated in the readings and then systematically repeated in special exercises.
