A few short decades ago, The Polish Muslims were only known to patrons of after hours rave parties and penitentiary inmates. Today there isn't a music fan in the Midwest who doesn't know their names and their fame is spreading like streptococcus A bacteria. The eight-some, Al on bass, Darin on keyboards and vocals, Dave on guitar and vocals, Donna on vocals and percussion, Ken on guitar and vocals, "Mambo" on sax, Mary Beth on percussion and vocals and Mike on drums play and sing a powerhouse music, loaded with zest and uninhibited humor that makes listening a sensation filled with joy. It isn't polka. It's not exactly rock n' roll. It's their own special sound, or as Dave puts it, "Our music is just, well, it's none of your business what our music is." Whatever it is, the Muslims' robust, roaring sound has stimulated a response Americans call "robust and roaring." And their recorded works? From their college radio hit "That's Why God Invented the Polka," on the Polka Comes to Your Haus compilation, to their first self-titled CD release, our heroes have regularly dominated print, TV and radio media, coming into the living rooms of fans everywhere, making themselves at home, usually on the coach or end table. So here it is, their second full-length feature recorded release. Now listen and watch - The Polish Muslims "Make Number Two." Words to all the tunes included. Partial proceeds from this item will benefit the Children's Leukemia Fund of Michigan.
