The Acte Préalable Publishing House is an unquestionable worldwide leader on the classical music market in terms of premiere recordings of Polish music. The label was founded in 1997 with a principal aim of promoting Polish classical music and the following figures attest to this dedication: over 200 CDs available in the catalogue, including over 100 Polish composers, of which 50 were recorded for the first time, accounting for more than 400 Polish works, mostly first recordings, unavailable elsewhere.
Our albums are recorded by the foremost Polish artists, being an excellent introduction into the Polish musical culture. What is more, the covers to our records present outstanding works of mostly Polish painting and contemporary photography. The booklet notes, written by distinguished specialists, provide in many cases an indispensable compendium of knowledge that could hardly be found anywhere else.
Our recordings are popular with music connoisseurs around the world and are well reviewed by the international press.

From the rich treasury of the vocal lyric of the 19th and 20th century we have chosen 25 quite unknown and rarely performed songs, composed by Polish composers whose work was in some way connected to Poznan, our home town.
The recorded works were composed by Maksymilian Grecki, Henryk Opienski, Feliks Nowowiejski, Stanislaw Wiechowicz, Tadeusz Szeligowsk and Andrzej Koszewski in majority to lyric by Polish poets. Most of the compositions have been recorded for the first time.
These interesting, original and beautiful pieces reflect the creative trends of their time, as well as the great musical traditions of Poznan and our contemporary musical fascinations.
We hope that they will be enjoyed by numerous music lovers, while the charm of the compositions and their level of artistic performance will convince listeners that it was worth dispersing the fog of oblivion around them.
