Opłatek/ Oplatki Polish Christmas Wafers

This four-pack of Polish Christmas wafers are authentic, historic, and traditional Christmas wafers made right in Poland. Included are three white and one pink wafer, each embossed (pressed) with a memorable Nativity scene. They are packaged in a beautiful envelope featuring the painting of the Wigilia feast. The sharing of the Christmas wafer originated more than 300 years ago in Poland and is still considered to be one of the most sacred nights in the Polish/Polonian home. The wafer is shared with everyone present, and during this time, well wishes are exchanged. The pink wafer is often reserved for the family pet in honor of the animals that were present at the birth of Jesus. For the same reason, the Wigilia meal is always meatless.
