Fryderyk Chopin recital performed by Ewa Beata Ossowska. Recorded in January 2000 in the Concert Hall of the Pomeranian Philharmonic Bydgoszcz. Ewa Beata Ossowska was born in Warsaw into an artistic family (her mother is a graphic artist and her father an actor). She graduated with distinction from the Jozef Elsner Secondary Music School and the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw. She continued her studies in the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris thanks to a grant from the French government. She has developed her skills under the guidance of Maciej Poliszewski, Jozef Stompel, Kazimierz Gierzod and Siergiej Markarov. She has also participated in many master courses, including those given by Jerome Rose (USA), Lee Kum Sing (Canada), Victor Mierzhanov (Russia) and Lazar Berman (Italy).
Ewa Beata Ossowska has developed a fine career as both a soloist and chamber musician in Poland and abroad. She has performed in France, Germany (recitals at the Expo 2000 in Hanover), Finland, Norway, Denmark, Lithuania and Slovakia. Her vast repertoire includes works by composers of all periods but she feels particular affinity with Romantic and modern music. She has made numerous archive recordings in Poland and France.
