Description

The highlanders from the villages around the Pieniny and Magury Spiskie mountains show a great sense of a separate identity from the Polish Highlanders.  They do not consider themselves as Górali but rather as Śpisoków.
This was driven by the centuries of rule by the Hungarians and Slovaks as well as influences from the Wallachians and Germans.  These influences can clearly be seen in the layout of their streets and buildings as well as in their dialect and folk costumes (note the man's hat).  These dolls are perfect, clothed in authentic regional folk costumes, as certified by the Polish Ministry of Culture. These traditional Polish dolls are completely handmade. Notice the fine attention to detail and workmanship.
