Polish Pisanki Egg Candles

These Polish egg candles are elegantly decorated with beautiful pussy willow, pisanki style. The unique assortment of a half dozen eggs is packaged in a traditional Polish cardboard egg carrier – the kind you may see at the supermarket. The custom of decorating eggs to celebrate Easter has been a long-loved tradition throughout Poland for centuries. Traditionally, eggs were painted and decorated with symbolic meanings during Lent and added to Easter baskets, among other special food items, to be blessed on Holy Saturday. Although these egg candles are not edible, they are a stunning representation of a tried and true Polish tradition and make a wonderful gift or addition to your holiday celebrations.
