The board is hand-decorated with a technique called INTARSJA, is an old form of wood inlaying, a technique that dates from before the seventh century. Thanks to this method, chess has a unique appearance and smooth board surface.
The folding chessboard is made of mahogany, sycamore and beech wood. On the side of the board there are two metal locks in gold colour. In the middle of the half-folded board there is a liner covered with a green velour coating to store the pieces.
