The Kaskada in Szczecin was perhaps the finest nightclub, restaurant and kawiarnia in Poland until it was destroyed by fire on April 27, 1981.  The building had a long history beginning in September, 1929 when it opened as "Haus Ponath", a multi-level restaurant and entertainment center.  This is a beautiful album in Polish and English featuring many original pictures and photographs along with a complete history of this fabulous building.  Fondly remembered by the people of Szczecin the place where the building stood was filled in 2010 with a new building called Galeria Kaskada.
